The 1921-P Peace Silver Dollar is a landmark issue in American numismatics, representing the first year of the iconic Peace Dollar series. Struck in a distinctive High Relief format, this inaugural issue was designed to commemorate the peace following World War I. Because the high relief design caused striking difficulties and excessive die breakage, the Mint quickly lowered the relief in 1922, making the 1921 issue a unique one-year type. Its historical significance and beautiful, sculptural quality make it one of the most sought-after coins in the series.

Composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, this classic silver dollar contains approximately 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver. The obverse features a striking profile of Lady Liberty wearing a radiant crown, modeled after the designer's wife, Teresa de Francisci, along with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the date “1921.” The reverse displays a majestic eagle resting on a rock inscribed with the word “PEACE,” holding an olive branch, bathed in the rays of the sun. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar remains a powerful symbol of American optimism and triumph.
