1923 D Peace Silver Dollar

The 1923-D Peace Silver Dollar is a highly desirable issue struck at the Denver Mint during the early years of the Peace Dollar series. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 to commemorate the peace following World War I. The obverse features a radiant profile of Lady Liberty, modeled after the designer's wife, Teresa de Francisci, with the word "LIBERTY" and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST." The reverse displays a majestic bald eagle resting on a rock with an olive branch, symbolizing peace, with the word "PEACE" inscribed at the bottom. The "D" mint mark for Denver is located on the reverse, just below the word "ONE."

Composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, this classic silver dollar contains approximately 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver.
