The 2007-W 1/4 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle (w/Box & COA) is part of the American Gold Eagle Burnished Uncirculated series, introduced by the United States Mint in 2006 as a special collector version of the popular bullion coins. These coins are struck on specially prepared planchets that are burnished before striking, producing a unique satin-like matte finish that differs from standard Brilliant Uncirculated bullion coins.

Each coin contains 1/4 troy ounce of .9167 fine gold (22-karat) and carries a $10 face value, guaranteed by the U.S. government for its gold weight and purity. Burnished Gold Eagles are minted in limited quantities and bear the “W” mint mark of the West Point Mint, distinguishing them from regular bullion issues.

The obverse features the iconic Lady Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful designs in American coinage. Liberty strides forward holding a torch and olive branch with the rising sun in the background, symbolizing enlightenment and peace.

The reverse displays the classic family of eagles design by Miley Busiek, showing a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying toward a nest where a female eagle protects her hatchlings. This powerful imagery represents strength, unity, and American heritage.

This coin is presented in its original U.S. Mint packaging, including the official presentation box and Certificate of Authenticity (COA), which confirms its authenticity and enhances its collectible value.

With its distinctive burnished finish, West Point mint mark, original mint packaging, and iconic American design, the 2007-W 1/4 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle is a desirable addition to modern U.S. gold coin collections and precious-metal portfolios.
